Home Away From Home

Welcome to "Sand Dollar". The contemporary exterior stylings make this a very unique home for the area. Once inside, you will find amazing ocean views, roomy light-filled spaces, and all the comforts of home. This home was given a nice remodel in the spring of 2019, which included all new furniture, upgraded kitchen appliances, new TVs, and more!

"Sand Dollar" is a 3-story home with the main living area on the 2nd floor. The open kitchen, living room, and dining area offer a large space for everyone to gather while enjoying what may be the best ocean views on the beach. Gather around the large flat screen TV to watch your favorite movies, or simply enjoy looking out the wall to wall windows at the ocean. The views overlooking the beach make you feel like you are already on the sand! The kitchen has plenty of room for the chef in your group to whip up your favorite meals. The dining table seats 6 and there is bar seating for 4 more, so you have plenty of room for everyone to gather in this friendly, open space.

From the living room, you can walk out onto our large oceanfront balcony. It overlooks the spacious back yard and the beach. There is plenty of deck furniture so you can relax in the sun, read a book, or enjoy lunch by the water! On the north side of the house is a smaller deck. This deck has a gas grill for you to cook your favorite meals. Below this deck is a covered patio. The patio offers plenty of shady space for you to escape the sun.

Sleeping for 10

The master bedroom is located on the 3rd floor and has incredible views of the Atlantic. It is a very large space and features a king bed plus a sleeper sofa, perfect for young ones who prefer to be in the same room as mom and dad. Guests staying in the master bedroom will enjoy the private use of their own bathroom. There is a large TV in the master bedroom as well.

On the 2nd floor, you will find two bedrooms; one with a king bed and the other with two twin beds. Both bedrooms are on the ocean side of the house. There is a Jack-and-Jill bathroom on this level as well. From the living room, you can walk out onto our large oceanfront balcony. It overlooks the spacious back yard and the beach. Here you can relax in the sun in one of our recliners, or enjoy lunch at the patio table.

Downstairs is the 4th bedroom. This bedroom has a queen bed, TV, and a brand new, full bathroom as well. From this bedroom, you can walk right out to the back patio and yard which leads to the beach! With all of these sleeping arrangements, you are sure to find that the house is more than suitable for medium sized groups up to 10 people. Don't forget, it is pet friendly, too!

Things To Do

In addition to board games and books, the house is fully furnished with all linens, towels, kitchen appliances, gas grill, beach chairs, and an outdoor shower. You just need to bring a bathing suit and something to make your favorite beachy beverage! If you have had enough sun for one day, a quick ride up A1A will take you to historic St. Augustine. Here, you will find countless restaurants, bars, landmarks, shopping, and more. While in St. Augustine, you can rent jet skis, take a Segway tour, or try your luck at an escape room. Day trips to Jacksonville or Orlando are easy from here, as well. No matter what your idea of a perfect vacation is, we are sure you will find it here. Call today to book your stay!

Polices and More

  • Cancellation Policy:  When a reservation is made, refunds are made ONLY if the house becomes uninhabitable OR if you cancel 60 days prior of your check in date. If you cancel within 60 days of your check in, any funds that have been collected are non-refundable unless, we are able to rent the house again for the same dates and price. If a portion of the rental time is re-booked, a pro-rata refund will be made. All refunds due to renter-initiated cancellations are subject to a 5% administrative fee. We encourage you to obtain trip cancellation insurance.  This can be made during the reservation process or several companies are listed on our web site under the "FAQ" tab.
  • Hurricane Policy: Hurricane refunds will be issued only if the National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation in our immediate area in St. John's County. When a mandatory evacuation order is given, we will refund (a) any unused portion of rent from a guest currently renting the house; (b) any unused portion of rent from a scheduled renter who wants to arrive after the hurricane order is lifted; or (c) any advance rents collected for a renter scheduled to arrive during the mandatory evacuation period. Any scheduled rentals after the hurricane are not subject to any refunds unless the house is uninhabitable.  Any damages to the beach or surrounding area is not cause for a refund. It will be the owner/property manager discretion to offer any such refund.
  • Pandemic Clause:  A refund will only be given if the Florida Governor bans short term rentals or if beach that the property sits on are closed.  Any portion of days that the ban is in place will be given a refund.  An administrative fee of 5% may be deducted from any refund.
