This one-level beach front delightful home rests on a high dune, offering fantastic ocean views from the living areas and master suite. Cool watery colors carry throughout the house, offering a sense of serenity and peace. Wood cathedral ceilings, plantation shutters, and “old Florida” furnishings offer a glimpse of Key West but with contemporary amenities. A new 8-10 foot high sea wall offers you a “beach overlooking the beach” where kids can play in the sand even at high tide. A new electric fireplace is operable all year. Imagine yourself relaxing in this charming home, knowing that you may have found your “forever” vacation spot! The living – dining – kitchen area is bright and airy, completely open to the views, and outfitted with top quality everything. An open galley kitchen with granite counters and excellent appliances make meal preparation a joy. The large flat screen HD TV and electric fireplace can be enjoyed from every vantage point in the room. Sandpiper’s Nest is equipped with high quality and comfortable seating. Brand new sofa and chairs are so cozy you might not even want to go to the beach! A small screened porch off the dining area extends the living area to the outside, allowing you to enjoy the ocean breezes regardless of rain or heavy duty sun. You will love the Key West inspired decor! Our oceanside deck is very spacious and is outfitted with a dining table for 6, several tall bar chairs, and two loungers. We have a new seawall that is between the deck and the beach, offering a secondary “raised beach”. Sandpiper’s Nest has three bedrooms and three full baths. The master bedroom is on the ocean side of the house. It is equipped with a king bed, day bed, desk, large wall mounted TV/DVD, and a pretty bench at the foot of the bed. The recently remodeled attached bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower and single vanity. The “junior master” is located on the front of the house. It has vaulted wood ceilings, queen size bed, built in closets plus a dresser, cute bench at the foot of the bed, and a large wall hung television. The attached bath has a tub/shower combination. The middle room has room for three! It offers 2 twin beds and a trundle. A bath with tub/shower combination is located just outside in the hall. Experience the beauty of sandy shores where you can swim, sunbathe, surf, paddleboard, and fish. Take leisurely walks along the beach to discover treasures like shark teeth, sand dollars, and sea glass. Explore Anastasia State Park for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, birdwatching, and picnicking in a stunning coastal setting. Discover the rich history of Historic St. Augustine by visiting landmarks like Castillo de San Marcos, St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, and the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. Stroll down St. George Street, a pedestrian only thoroughfare in the heart of the historic district, lined with charming shops, restaurants, galleries, and historic sites. Immerse yourself in the Gilded Age at the Lightner Museum, housed in a historic hotel, showcasing a diverse collection of art, antiques, and artifacts. Experience the thrill of getting up close to alligators, crocodiles, and exotic animals at St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park, which also offers educational shows, zip lines, and exhibits of native Florida wildlife. Take a scenic short ferry ride to Fort Matanzas National Monument, a historic Spanish fort located on Rattlesnake Island. Please note, that all guests staying at a Portoro home are required to sign a rental agreement and provide a valid form of ID. The primary reservation holder must provide a Government-Issued ID that matches the name on the rental agreement. This is a requirement from St. Johns County. All guest's names (first and last) must be provided. The ages of any minors are required to be listed. This is for emergency and insurance purposes.
Guest Access
We offer self-check-in. Portoro uses smart locks. • We cannot guarantee early check-ins or late checkouts in advance. If the house happens to be ready earlier than our standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, we, in most cases will allow an early check-in. For a reliable alternative with guaranteed check-in or check-out timing, it's recommended to book the night before or after your scheduled arrival or departure.

Others Things to Note
Please pay close attention to following the house rules. Non-compliance could result in sizable fines. - All guests staying at a Portoro home are required to sign a rental agreement and complete identity registration. - Age restrictions apply. Please inquire for more information. - All guests must be included on the guest list and not exceed the maximum number stated on the listing. - To ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features, ALL guests are required to read the house manual upon arrival and notify Portoro with any questions. - Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately. - Before check-in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival. - Pets are allowed at this home with the manager's approval at a rate of $225 (1 dog) and $125 (2 dogs). If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without Portoro’s approval, there will be a cleaning charge of $500. Owner must pick up after dogs - no exceptions. - We cannot guarantee early check-ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one-hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check-in or late check-out is great, your best option is to book an additional night. - The home has cameras for external monitoring only. - HOTEL TAX COLLECTION: Both St. Johns County and the State of Florida require all hotel and vacation rental hosts to collect hotel tax. We collect these two taxes within the booking transaction. The state requires 6.5% and the county requires 5%. - LONG-TERM STAYS: (Snowbird, long-term rental). Contact Wren Beach Rentals by Portoro to discuss if a long-term stay discount applies to this listing. Stays over six months are waived from paying the State and Local Hotel Tax. However, there are additional fees we need to collect for damage coverage and housekeeping. In compliance with our policies for long-term stays, we need to collect an additional cleaning fee for guests staying longer than 3 weeks. Your Guest Ambassador will coordinate the cleaning schedule for a minimum of once every 2 weeks. You can request cleanings more frequently if desired. Additional cleaning charges will be sent using a payment request or resolution request, immediately following the cleaning. Your guest ambassador will reply shortly and be available to assist you where needed.

Excellent house Very Clean My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay We were very impressed with how clean and well stocked the house was I’m stroke survivor which requires me to use a cane to get around because of a partially paralyzed left leg and the house layout is wide open so it was very easy for me to get around The master bedroom has a large walk in shower which is very nice if you have any physical limitations. I did not attempt to walk down the stairs to the beach because I was afraid that they were too steep for me, not a problem for someone without a handicap We spent a lot of time on the deck and especially liked the screened in area which is where we ate most of our meals We had our dog with and he liked the house as well and his behavior confirmed how carefully this house is cleaned. I’m not sure that he even realized that there were other dogs that stayed there before us. He didn’t seem to find anyplace in the house that was “marked”by another dog and that says a lot because he’s part hound dog with an incredible snife

The perfect spot! Great remodeled kitchen with everything you need to cook. Huge island. We also enjoyed the Large deck. We especially appreciated the gated side yard for Our dog. And I have to mention the putting green. My husband is now spoiled and doesn't want to stay anywhere else.

Absolutely wonderful! Our stay at Sandpiper's Nest was wonderful! The home is so well equipped we didn't even need many of the items we took with us. We have stayed in three Wren Realty properties and they have all been wonderful as have their service. We look forward to visiting again next year and will be contacting Wren for our next stay.
